I want him gone.

Gus needs to bring in an OC who will provide a different viewpoint in offense and challenge Gus's own ideas about how to run the O.

Rhett is just a yes man to Gus who helps him call plays. He works with the QB's too and we've seen how effective that has been.

What if White has a good rest of the year?

He coached Marshall correct? Or just jeremy?

Gus would shite a brick if someone tried to change his offense. I promise you Rhett has NO input on the offense other than telling Gus which of GUSs plays are available at that down and distance.

He is more or less a clipboard holder that helps out at practice and during the games.

Rhett has been calling the plays this year. Not all of them but most of them.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I like Rhett Lashlee at Auburn. He may not be the best offensive mind (or quarterback coach), but he knows Gus Malzahn's offense better than almost anyone else in football.

If Gus Malzahn sees it is time for a change, I will also be OK with that. If not, I will be OK with that too.

his offense changes every year. Promote Craig and Bentley and call it a day

Craig helped Christian Ponder and EJ Manuel become 1st Rd QB's. If nothing else I want him coaching QB's at Auburn

if we are going to have a puppet at OC, i would rather it be Craig and have Bentley be the QB coach. That or snag Chip Kelly and call it a day

Yeah Fisher is supposed to be the QB guru.

Craig could be a good QB coach but it's far from a guarantee.

Oh come on.

This is Gus' offense and Lashlee is his boy. Only way Lashlee is gone is by his own decision to prove himself away from Malzahn. Only way anyone else will ever control this offense is If Gus isn't here anymore.

If we fire Rhett, we might as well fire Gus. Gus calls all the shots on offense and Rhett is just there to act like he knows what he's doing. The offense this year has been an abortion and it's a combination of lack of development, especially for a quarterback who was highly touted and had three years to learn. And the play calling has just been downright awful. Red zone play calling in particular has just been puzzling to say the least.

Hopefully Lashlee gets a job offer, and takes it. I have nothing against him. But it would probably be better for the team as whole to have someone with a wider experience set and perhaps a different perspective.

If we get rid of Rhett, can we still keep his wife?

We can.

Honestly if he ever moves on, I have a feeling that Gus will bring in one of his former QBs currently coaching and put Derp on repeat.

This was probably the year Gus planned in his grooming progression to hand Lashlee he keys to full play calling duties.
