I fast forwarded through the defense. They were great.

I didn't realize we ran the fullback whirlybird so many frickng times. I was trying to focus on Leff and the OL. I only saw Leff get blown up once on a sac. His man made another sac on JJ, but that was because JJ didn't step up in the pocket. Dampeer got his shite pushed in a couple of times. What was most concerning as far as protection went was Cox. We asked our FB to go one on one with a DE twice in that game with distarous results. Both times we got lucky and bailed out by Clemson.

I'm totally convinced if we had simply stuck with either JF3 or White, we win that game easily. I'd like to see us go flag football with White running a hurry up 5 WR set or JF3 running the veer.

I think everyone knows if Johnson doesn't play Saturday, AU wins. It's as evident as could be. But here we are, with a coach that would rather be right than win ball games.

Hell we may win if we stick with JJ

I agree. The problem was the guards and center. They couldn't handle a NFL Noseguard.

I thought we had ran it once maybe twice. When I re-watched the game it was 4 or 5 times. It really is a completely useless play.

What I noticed in the second half was that JF3 was getting a lot of hesitation from Clemson's DL and linebackers. Sean White was making better reads. I would be fine with Gus leaving White as the starter and bringing in JF3 for a change of pace. Also, let JF3 run the ball and take a few shots.

The OL, which was supposed to be a strength, looked like crap. It seemed like so many times they were not on the same page with each other and with the play being called. There were numerous run plays where the OL would pull one way and the RB/QB would go the other way.

Have to wonder if the constant QB change had their rhythm and set up off kilter. And Leff is a problem.

I think it would be hard for it not to throw off their rhythm. Playcalling like that would make it nearly impossible to get in a rhythm as well.

And Malzahn took offense than people kept asking him about the multi Qb derp.

He will probably do it the rest of the season out of spite. Hard headed SOB.

Yep. His attitude came across as "How dare you ask me questions about my play calling and quarterback rotations?"

I'm honestly depressed at how the last season ended and how this one has started... It's embarrassing

I'd also like to see White at QB & JF3 playing receiver some. his speed on that sweep would be deadly. he could be pretty dangerous on those quick screens too. combination of all these elements could be really good but instead we FB whirlybird and switch QBs every 30 seconds.

The loss is on the SweaterClown™
And ONLY on him. The entire game I was thinking that even an average but CONSISTENT offense would have won us the game. Whenever there was momentum SweaterClown™ destroyed it. Whenever there was consistency SweaterClown™ destroyed it. Whenever we were in the red zone SweaterClown™ Made damn sure we didn't score.
He is alone to blame and no one else.

As we have all said in the last 48hrs , our defense was damn close to sensational considering how much they were on the field.
I don't blame them one bit for the lowly 19pts given up to the #2 team in the nation
