A homerun DC hire will keep them committed.

I'm okay with keep BVG without Pelton or Martinez. BVG would need to work on his defense against the Spread and Mobile QB's.

These comments are ok but how can they not remembr the offensive coordinator from the 2010 BCS Champions? HE was there when our guys were recruiting all of them.

That's what I was thinking. He's only been gone a year.

I think he'll stick if we get a good DC.

He was OC and not the recruiter for any of them not surprised at all. Pretty well known that Gus is a quirky guy and just likes playing around with his offense so why is it so hard to believe he wouldn't want to deal with recruiting players on D?

I'm not saying he recruited them but I would still think they would know about him if they were being recruited here while he was here.

I would be most mean that they never remember meeting him and/or don't know much about him. I doubt that most of these kids knew any assistants other than ones who were recruiting them before their senior years and shite got real

I think Gus will be different as a head coach. I think he wants to win enough that he's going to take responsibility for who we get or don't get. I think Gus knows enough about offense to realize who he wants playing on the other side of the ball.

I also think that Gus can win over a lot of the recruit's mothers. He may have to slow down cut the coffee to only 6 pots a day. But with his beliefs and personality he can sit down in a living room and win the mothers over. I think he will leave a lot of recruiting to his assistants but I think on the big fish he will go in to close.

fricking punter is pumped about all those chances he'll get to look good after we go 3 and out 20 times a game.

You look foolish acting like Malzahn can't coach offense. Look at stats and scores while he was here. Look at year before he arrived and after he left. Then remember Chizik was on his shoulder weighing him down. Now you can rightfully STFU.
