Very interesting. I was not an AU fan at this time and always heard how great a game it was. First for me as well although I think i am 12 years older than you

eta: I love how both uniforms are exactly the same although the shoulderpads are huge

The day I cemented my Auburn decision. Greatest game I've ever attended.

Bama up 10-7 now. That is about all they get until a late TD with us up a couple of scores in the 4th.

From now until then is pretty much AU domination.

Don't think it's possible for me to attend a louder game. Louder moments in a game sure, but overall noise for an entire game will be impossible to top. That game was ridiculous.

Should be required viewing for all students. I am 60 years old, the IB was played in Auburn for the first time 25 years ago, have the ticket framed. Young folks can not possible understand the arrogance of the Crimson Tide, can not understand having to play at legion field every year , playing that game in Auburn meant everything. Never seen an atmosphere like that.

Hearing Eric Ramsey's name called during the telecast made me think of Old men Conspiracy theory involving the Eric Ramsey fiasco because we moved the game and because we won 3 straight SEC titles. Yes some Alabama supporters/boosters were involved. A poor college kid from Bham gets support and Unbelievable legal representation. Played the tapes slowly for weeks.

Good post. I have my ticket in lucite. Having to go to Legion Field every year was an absolute nightmare. Glad I was in attendance at such a historic game.

Going to Legion Field was horrific. Best thing we ever did was getting that game moved.

It sucked hard. So glad I will never have to step foot in that shithole again.

I graduated high school and made it to Auburn in 1990. From talking to the students who were there I knew I missed something special.
