Stupid is, as stupid does. He's played two years on raw athletic ability, for all we know he should be a tight end. Perhaps trust in a coach or two?

Yea pretty disappointing. He's having to start all over again.

He may yet turn into something but hard to see him contributing at all this year or probably next then we have Ashley and Troxell hopefully locking down the tackle spots for the next three years after that.

Any realistic person knew he would contribute for 2 or 3 years

And that 2-3 years just got reset by a year and a half.

No, I think it is the right move, its just going to be tough for him to win a starting spot for us with the caliber of offensive linemen we bring in. Same for defensive end. I applaud him finding a spot to fit but the fact remains, he is a project and it will be tough for him to start with the good recruiting we have at every position.

You have to have depth. Any of those other guys could bust or get injured...PT could simply be better and we don't know it yet. He isn't learning NASA based physics algorithms...talented guys can pick up the techniques quickly.

I had spoken with JB Grimes when he coached and he didn't always thing this was a bad thing. He commented that so much of OL play is technique and so much of OL coaching in CFB in the early years is overwriting bad habits

Dont understand this move. If he learns to be an OT will be good for his wallet. But the guy appeared to be a good fit at DE.

To be honest, he isn't a good fit anywhere. He is a great athlete but really has so little experience, they just cant figure out what to do with him. Just a project.

Like discussed before, he could help with depth but its going to be hard for him to get any significant playing time at DE or Ol with our good recruiting there.

I say, put his big arse at tight end and throw the ball up to him

This right here.

I get he might be starting over, but it is not like he was that far along to begin with, right?

Hope he becomes a superstar, but if not, hope he is a solid contributor and gets his degree.

Welp, Id like to see Prince Tega see the field somewhere. Kick off team, etc. Put that dude in the game. Let him destroy a few muddafuqqahs.

if he is the athlete everyone keeps saying he is I would be all for a 6'8 275 tight end that is athletic.

Yup. If he can catch at all, hell with athleticism. Give his arse a 5 yard hitch and throw it ten feet high. Unstoppable in the red zone

He very well might be the jumbo TE instead of putting in an extra tackle (even though he is now). That would be awesome. If he can catch at all, watch out.

I'd like to see him in that jumbo package this year while he's still learning, similar to how they used Braden Smith and Robert Leff the last couple of years. But unless he's Rob Gronkowski then keep him at OT. We don't use TE much as it is and already have two good underclassmen TEs. An elite OT is probably the most valuable player on the field behind QB, and while we have multiple guys who I think could be good OTs, I'm not sure I see any elite OTs on the roster right now. I doubt Ashley or Troxell will be good enough to start right away, so go ahead and start getting Tega-Wanagho ready, because his potential is through the roof.
