Who said that? Not even the most ardent SW hater, Geneschin, things he is a good QB just not in our system.

His bowl performance was bad. Jeremy had to come in and bail him out.

He has a tendency to turn the ball over too much. Same for JJ. He was very bad in the bowl game as well as in the spring game. Cant keep turning the ball over.

Our defense will have to play very well in the first few games to keep us in there till we sort through these changes on offense.

Fingers crossed that Franklin can learn quick and be serviceable. We really need him to learn quickly.

(Answer pending until December)

For real though, i think he'll be a damn good QB for us eventually but probably not this year. I'm just expecting average to good this year. I don't really think he'll ever win the Heisman but I do think he'll be a lot better than Geneschin and Jangalang think he will be.

Im not trying to be a dick but I just dont see how anyone can say that. He has done nothing to make me believe that will be the case. We have said he would be the best of what we have but not that he will be a very good QB for us. I really cant see it.

If he doesnt do it this year, he may as well transfer. Woody or some other young guy will be the guy if White cant be good this year. No way we wait another year for him.

Figured this thread would be boring with two obvious candidates in Jovon and Lawson. However, Aubie board

I'm not getting into that again so just agree to disagree

It's not like we have to sit around and wait on him. You move into camp the next year and then play the best QB. Barrett is no where near a sure thing. The only other options will be a true freshman or Queen.

Yep. I totally agree with that. What we have seen in the past few years in college football is that teams have been very successful with young freshmen or first year QB's. It has always been a rule that a QB needed experience. That has not been the case as of late

Who knows, maybe JF3 or Barrett can be that for us..

Kicker is technically on offense

So are defensive backs who intercept passes and return them for TDs technically on offense too?
