I would accept anyone at this point. If only to end this neverending nightmare known as the Malzahn era

Mason would be a huge upgrade.

I'd be fine with Blerek Blason.

As long as the coach's name isn't "Gus Malzahn", I'll be thrilled.

Hiring Mason would probably be the final nail in my AU football fandom.

This seems a little excessive, but I wouldn’t love the hire but it’s not the worst we could do.

Why?

His team would have been throttled by Bama too

It would be very underwhelming

Nobody is beating Bama this year so that's not it.

Mason seems to have everything the top brass would want.

Except a winning record.

He might be a great "Mike Shula" to get us through the years of the Gus Malzahn virtual-probation, maybe.

Every time a new coach gets brought up I'm going to say Dino Babers. He would be a perfect fit.

Babers doesn't know southern recruiting.

But yes, he is definitely a damn good coach.

I would support Babers. I think there's better hires to be made, but I would support him.

Why? His record is terrible and he is a shitty recruiter.
