Curious on who you think should? Also hasn't been named starter. He is one of the most experienced returning wide outs and a former 4*. Who has shown more besides a shiny star rating?
Tony hasnt done anything with his experience. He has been riding the pine his entire career and now that we are so thin at WR he is a starter? We just signed the best WR class in the country. Surely there is ONE guy that is better than Tony. Craig, Stove, or Davis. Pick one.

You know. Because he is a 5* guy
Youre probably right. Zero chance a true freshman can start in the SEC and have an impact...Just ask Bama, LSU, aTM, Ole Miss etc

Carlton Davis I believe was a true freshman that played for Auburn. Can't believe Gus let him

Not in our first game with zero game experience or zero experience period

IF they come in, do well, they can easily get the job. But starting out the first game against Clemson would be a stretch off a couple weeks of practice

I have no love for Stevens and pray at least one of these guys pan out early

Not arguing that Stevens has been a disappointment just that this statement
quote:

Is there any other explanation for Tony Stephens being a starting WR this year? Nope.

is dumb & gave an explanation why. Also Stevens played a bunch last season & is far from a bench rider.

Personally I think one of those freshman do eventually step up & take over. But before we start criticizing Gus on a hypothetical situation maybe we should wait for a few of them to actually practice

I doubt it. I pretty much think that will be the plays

was there a reason Kris Frost started at LB over Tre Williams last year?

FYI I am of the opinion either Kyle Davis or Nate Craig-Myers is a starter by season end. If not then let's hope Stevens has finally taken that next step

So you think Gus made Muschamp start Frost?

Either Gus is a controlling dictator or he only gives a shite about the offense. Y'all need to make up your fricking minds on which it is.

Don't think we should sleep on Darius Slayton at WR. I think he will be the next deep threat.

This is Gus playing all the seniors and upper classmen despite younger players being more talented...

Love when message board posters make up that he does or will do this

Yeah, it's not like he played Kozan or Braden Smith as a RSFr either.

If you guys want to talk about Tony Stevens and whether he has pics of Gus naked, start your own thread called WR talk. Got it?

Carlton, Smith, Cowart, Holland, Kozan, Lawson, and probably a few others have all started as freshman under Gus. Hell, you guys portray Sean White as a newborn baby when you are hyping him up for this season but you carefully leave him out of discussion when we talk about Gus starting Freshman over upperclassmen

Gus literally said in an interview that one of the biggest mistakes he's ever made was not playing Greg Robinson earlier. I think he's shown a willingness to play young guys early if they're close enough to ready. This was a poor avenue to go down for the hate gus crowd.

Anywho- Tre Williams is coming along slower than anyone hoped. In fairness, he's only a junior this year but we've seen several freshman come in and start on our defense last year and Tre was still struggling to break through.

1. Hey man
2. frick you
3. I anticipate the WRs we start the season out with to be somewhat different that who we're using toward the end. Stevens and Davis should start, though.

4. Our tackle situation is messy at best. Golson seemed to get positive reviews at LT in the spring. Coaches seemed to want to give James the RT job but he performed to a point where they had to keep that job open. I imagine Leff spending the most time there

At times he really looks like he can play linebacker. Then he just disappears. Hope he has a good year this year. We will be counting on him

shite I thought he looked great last year when he got PT. He was always around the ball and rarely missed tackles. Looked great especially chasing ballcarriers outside the tackle box. I honestly didn't pay much attention to how he did vs. the pass, but he looked really good against the run, IMO.
