Im interested in the ones of you who are at Auburn. What is your major and when will you graduate? Also, what plans do you have to use your degree? Or just what would you like to do?

I think there are more of you who are current students than I thought.

TIA

History, gonna graduate in May.

The plan is to go to seminary for three years at either Duke or Asbury, go and get my PhD in Ancient Israel/Hebrew Bible somewhere (I'm hoping Vandy), then work my way into Auburn's history department and stay here til I die

Depends on the faith of the Seminary. Emory is a protestant school, though it seems dominated by Jews.

Interesting. I actually come from the Manufacturing industry. Sort of. It is somewhat a lost industry here. When Nafta got signed, I transitioned into the service industry.

Awesome that you are close to graduation.

I will try to clean up my language. Geez. Once you graduate in May, how long does it take to do your seminary and get your PHD?

Just don't give Lanier your credit card info. I learned the hard way.

This is good.

Did you intern or co-op at all?

As a business school graduate, the degree really isn't worth much. It's all about experience and/or who you know. I advise all business school kids to volunteer, intern, co-op, and join as many groups or organizations as you can.

An internship is required and I have worked in inventory for a military electronics company for 5 years.

Supply Chain right now has the highest average starting salary in the college of business

Hmm, still far off, but would like to create my own website - recruiting, team-based, maybe a little 247 style. Really doesn't matter! There's not really much money in it unless you strike gold, but it's my passion!

Yep, and it's Methodist, but screw living in Atlanta Asbury's in a town of about 5,000 people and Duke is isolated enough from Durham proper that I don't mind it too much

I don't care

Getting my Masters of Divinity will take three years, and if I go to Asbury I may take another semester or two to get my MTheology. The PhD will take two years of on-campus coursework, but I don't know how long it'll take after that.
