its probably the best idea. have all the schools fund the payments equally, get to draft their recruits, players make a salary while focusing on football for 4 years or until they go pro, get free tuition to any member school after their playing eligibility has expired. the system now is ridiculous in every regard. the most tragic part is how they take already marginal, at best, students and expect them to manage their scholastic requirements while also managing their rigorous football schedule. with how advanced the game has become its just an unrealistic expectation and has to be addressed.
