I will be in AU for USCe game and am doing a Tailgate Guys tailgate with some old friends for the first time. Any advice from anyone on the board who has used Tailgate Guys? Also -- where would you recommend parking for their location? I don't mind paying for a guaranteed space.
Thanks for any help.

You won't be able to park close to them..unless you find someone selling a stadium deck pass.

I don't really know what specifics you're looking for other than that.

Sort of what I figured. Thinking about buying a parking place from Parkwhiz over by the library. Lots depends on game time.

Our friends normally do the Varsity+. Pretty simple. Show up and it's already set up. You just have to bring your beverages and edibles. If you show up early enough sometimes they'll let you unload your truck down by Parker.

With as bad as SC has been, I wouldn't be surprised if the game was slated in an earlier slot

I just hope its not the early game! That means a loooonnnnng drunk day and us old dudes cant do that like we use to!
Check out the Parkwhiz website or AU Gameday site for parking rates at Library deck.
We used ParkWhiz last year for a tailgate behind the Sigma Nu house and had a great time. Just wanted to try something different this year.

Look at the games we compete with though. We're the biggest name on that list other than Alabama-Tennessee. For ratings sake, they won't put Auburn behind any of those other games. Maybe behind MSU and UK if that game means more but that won't mean we'd be stuck playing at 11am. We'd be SECN or ESPN2 at 3:00 or 6:00

I use park wiz. I like it. Finding a parking space is the most stressful part of game day for me. So it is worth it to pay for a gaurenteed spot ahead of time.

i don't know the pecking order now, but USCe/AU is probably third on that list, behind TSIO and OM/LSU... those two are rivaly games with some drawing power (more so than USCe imo).

obviously, a lot matters on how the next two weeks play out... if we lose to MSU and they're #2 nationally, then UK/MSU could get slated for a bigtime spot.

My BIL is a big UK fan, and he said that CBS has to show at least one Kentucky game this fall b/c of some rule about every team in the SEC has to be on CBS at least once in a 5 year window (or something like that).

not sure if he knows what he's talking about or not.

Are there two or three night game slots?

Bama-UT

2:30

MSU-UK

AU-USCe

LSU-OM

These all have about the same appeal.

Yeah. The OM/LSU game might pull rank over us. I'm expecting a 3pm kickoff...if it's earlier than that, I'm won't be seeing the game

Last time I checked, Tailgate Guys still had some parking passes in Lot Z, right next to the Athletic Complex. It's not a bad walk to anywhere, but the passes are $175 each.
