Am I the only one realty excited about this defense ???..... I see potential oozing from the d if they could just put it all together I see us being in the top 5 d in sec.... Maybe not stat wise because of the amount of possessions the other team gets because of how fast our offense runs

No you're not, but then you are new and have missed all the posts in other threads where many of us were excited to see our D play this year.

Lulz. I used to enjoy logging into my LSU handle on game days and trolling the LSU rant. Good times.

Nah, I'm also looking forward to an improved D. Therezie getting cleared is huge. He's a damn play maker and brings the meanness that every defense needs.

Position that has me worried is cb. Our starters should be stout but Reed and Jones have a lot of room for improvement, which is understandable considering their experience.

Pretty much the same deal w the lbs.

I am scared to death about our D. Our CBs that start aren't elite and backups are clearly a step below that.

Biggest concern is a pass rusher. We don't have one. I was excited about going heavy across DL which would make blitzing ultra effective but with our pass coverage so suspect we can't rely on them not giving up big plays. The front four aren't able to get a pass rush without an additional blitzer

A little bit drama.

I agree with some of the other content to a certain extent.

There's no reason Garrett can't play WLB if Frost can't do any better than what he did Saturday. He was actually working there some in the spring I think.

Remember one time when our DL took up blockers (like it's supposed to) and Frost filled the hole to meet Collins, but he didn't even get a finger on him. And he was literally a foot or two away from him. Collins went for about 15 yards on that play with Frost positioned perfectly.

*There is no way Duke is 216
He told Brent Mooshburger he is 233 lbs now. I know Coach Russell is a boss but how did he let Duke muscle up that much? He needs to drop 15-20 and get some speed back. He would have scored a 2nd TD yesterday if he was lighter and a bit faster.
