He couldn't win AT FLORIDA it will take more than a year for somebody to want him as head coach again.

Of course, but there is a certain level of continuity that needs to be developed if you want long-term success. You can't be replacing coordinators every other year.
Just saying that even if we land Muschamp, he may not be here long.

Just a hunch, but I don't think Boom would be a a one-and-done. He's only 43, and I think he's willing to sit back and wait for the right opportunity as opposed to taking whatever's available after the 2015 campaign.

Looking ahead, if Gus pops off 2-3 championships, the NFL will call. Will would be an easy transition.

A mid-tier program would be very interested in his services, regardless of what happened at Florida. I'm not saying that an elite school will come running for him, but there are a lot of decent to good football programs that would be interested.

That said, to get a better job he's gonna need some rehab. I think that would mean at least 3 years at a major program as a DC again.
UNLESS, of course, the combo of the Boom Brothers brings Auburn another championship in the short term. *Then* a short term rental would be totally worth it.

Does anybody know if @chadjourn (Chad Harrison) on Twitter knows his shite? He just said Muschamp has been offered Head Coach in waiting at South Carolina and that he has no interest in Auburn. His bio says he was a former Bama basketball radio host so I guess take it FWIW.

I'm thinking if anyone has learned his lesson about "head coach in waiting" under a senior, supposedly near-to-retiring, head coach, its Will Muschamp.
