We come home next weekend for Samford and lets just pretend that we will have no issues with them

We then go on the road to College Station. TAM lost on the road to Miami yesterday but Miami looks like a pretty good program right now. Duckman had them playing well. Now TAM has a tendency to self implode but they are stacked with talent.

I dont know the direction of the QB position for us and I am glad I am not the guy who is getting paid to figure it out. Should we just move on to Holden and let him play the entire week next week or use that game to get Thorne some confidence? I honestly cant see Robby as a big part of the equation. I think there is a lesser chance that he becomes a passer than Thorne

I honestly think Its either Thorne or Holden. Id love for Robby to get it going but it just doesnt seem like that is going to happen and leaving him in there to run will just fail. Nobody believes he can throw the ball and will jsut blitz the shite out of him.

If CHF comes out next week witht he same game plan as UMASS, I will be disappointed. I think we see now that we need some other plan

AFter TAM, we have UGA coming to Auburn, then a off week, then go to LSU

Its a painful stretch

Robby is a mediocre passer and is a turnover liability. I can't remember how many times he just dropped /fumbled the ball last year (sometimes with no contact). Teams will stack the box against him.

We have to have someone who can pass. We need to play Thorne or Geriner.

I think you have to just let Thorne get some throws in next week. Hopefully it can be a confidence building experience. I hate to have to say that about a guy that’s experienced but it is what it is.

The Robby experience should be over. I get why he was given a shot, but his football days are numbered. Either stick with Thorne and make him learn or plan for the future.

"You've got to have a package for Ashford, he's too good an athlete". Dumbest take of all time.

Thorne needs to throw 30+ times next week. No more idiotic two-QB system. Ashford has not improved one bit from last season. That play late in the game where he ran to the sideline and then threw it right at a Cal player across his body was the dumbest decision of the entire game.

Yeah, I’m in this camp. Stick with one QB. Let him get a feel for the game and in rhythm. We know he can pass so hopefully the gameplan going forward will give him the opportunity to do so.

Some more:

1) Izavion Miller got worked hard at RT. They need to just stick Britton at RT and protect the damn edges. Miller looked like a JUCO trying to play against D1 talent last night.

2) Who still believes "Hunter > Bigsby"? Hunter is quickly climbing the ranks of the most fan-overrated AU players in recent memory. Fun fact, he has now fumbled in 3 of his last 4 games.

You think anyone is scared of Throne throwing after what they saw last night?

At least Ashford has a strong arm and doesn’t panic. Spread the field out, no more of those bunch sets (give him and the RBs room), quick passes (shallow crossing routes, WR screens, slants), and then take a few shots over the top, profit.

We’re going to be 3-3 after A&M, Georgia, and LSU.

If we can steal two games against Ole Miss/Arkansas/Mississippi State we’ll get to 6-6 and make a bowl game.

Thorne averaged over 1 TO a game last year. Im willing to say there is enough evidence to show Thorne as the TO liability.

Ashford fumbled a lot but only lost a few.

They will beat us by double digits in college station. If it was a home game we could make it interesting.

Yeah, the turnover argument is not in Throne’s favor. I laugh every time someone says it.

P.S. Coleman is tearing it up at FSU. He wanted no part of continuing to play with Throne.

you mean that coleman played with Thorne last year?

He is amazing.

Any chance Thorne was supposed to be a package deal

Wow sick burn! Coleman wasn't coming here regardless of who the QB was. He is a 1st/2nd round NFL pick after this season, he was never coming to Auburn to play in year #1 of a complete rebuild LMAO. Why would he make that decision when he can go to FSU which won 10 games last season and is a playoff contending team, or any other already-developed team that he can easily step onto without having to worry about ups and downs?
