I don't know about that, but I think you love saban.

Dude needs to forget about fukin Saban. We need a coach that can lead and develop talent that we have to win and be successful on a consistent basis as well as compete for championships. This has nothing to do with Saban or Alabama. frick them.

petrino? never beat saban, actually blown out with nfl talent his last trip to ttown

You do realize how stupid this quote is right? Petrino took nobodies and made them into NFL talent. Something he has done consistently during his career. You put him at a school like AU that has some kind of recruiting base and attraction to top recruits and Petrino takes somebodies and makes them into top flight NFL talent.

So, I'm guessing your top 5 candidates are...

1) Malzahn
2) Les Miles
3) Steve Spurrier
4) Kyle Whittingham

My guess is :

1) Nick Saban
2) A guy in a Nick Saban costume
3) Nick Saban's toenail clippings
4) A piece of toast with an image that looks like Nick Saban

Cody D.... chill on the sucking. Saban isn't what is preventing this program from flourishing. And Gus Malzahn sure as hell isn't the answer to anything.

I'm so sick of everything coming back to the midget for a good portion of the AU fanbase. Just strengthens the little brother stigma.

Agree, but to be fair, every SEC west team is comparing dick size to Saban. LSU is the worst. They actually think they're on the same level as Bama.

who is proven? petrino? never beat saban, actually blown out with nfl talent his last trip to ttown. strong? no fisher? could screw up a wet dream... theres no proven coach out there thats on our radar.. patterson maybe

Patterson- 113-33 with 5 conference championships
Jimbo- 27-9 at a BCS school.
Petrino- 75-26 with 2 conference championships

Yeah they aren't proven.
Malzahn really matches their experience level. He's 5-3 in the sunbelt.

Yup.
I got into it the other day with an old frat brother who is like that.

I was like, "Find a coach that can get us to Atl in early Dec. Stop worrying about Alabama."

I'll trade you your "saban-obsessed" frat brother for my "itat-everything is a bammer rec conspiracy" old frat brother.

Why? Saban is the bully on the block. We need someone that will punch him in the face. just like Jim Harbaugh when he got to Stanford, he said USC is the #1 enemy and that is who we are going to beat. He did not run from them of not talk about them.

Meh. Beat the other 11 coaches on your schedule and beating Saban wont matter. Every time AU wins the west, it is done so by the UGA game, and not the IB.
