Dufner finished tied for 8th and was not mentioned once while I was watching today. Well played tournament and War Eagle.

If he was mentioned, They would have felt obligated to bring up Amanda being Tiger's new dong koozie

I'm glad he got to do around without people bringing her up

Hopefully this will bump his confidence and get him playing good again. Duf is such a likable dude, the game is better with him playing well.

He was shown at least twice today that I saw. Good for him though. He played well a few weeks ago too.

Oh hell, I didn't know that she has been messing around on Duf with Tiger. I don't keep up, but was wondering why they split. Guess I know now. Bitch. But a hot bitch.

Wow...

Yea, she basically got nothing in the divorce. Pretty telling sign she was caught doing something she shouldn't have. Lots of rumors it might have been Dustin Johnson as well at the time. No doubt Tiger was also going to be involved.

I thought Tiger and Dufner both came out and said nothing like that happened.

Anyway, I saw him a few times on the broadcast. He was always just off the scores they were showing, so I can't blame them too much. There are definitely times when popular but not rock star golfers like Dufner and Kuchar are in contention and don't ever get shots on tv, which sucks. Not sure that really happened yesterday.

Duf actually has a solid season going, hope he can keep it up.

Uh... what?

Dufner won about ~$9-10mil on tour (minus tax) while with her for only 3 years. His biggest endorsement he just signed after they got divorced. I'm sure a decent amount of worth is wrapped up in the two AU homes. Homes Amanda prob doesn't care about as a Bama grad.

She got $2.5mil, her expensive mercedes and the dogs for 3 years. For a quick divorce settlement, sounds like she won

She got $2.5mil + minor other things in effectively cash and an extremely quick/easy settlement. That isn't getting screwed at all

I'm not saying she got shafted, but generally speaking, these types of divorces end up going close to 50/50 for property and ongoing payments. She pretty much got none of that. Settlement payment sure, but this was a quick settlement, and it made it pretty clear something went down.

There probably was a prenup but even so, but the 50/50 almost always is wealth accumulation during marriages.

and ongoing payments

Alabama isn't huge on large alimony payments for marriages this short without kids. At least, my recently divorced friend didn't worry about it as an issue when he was 4-5 years

ttlement payment sure, but this was a quick settlement

If you assume the value is ballpark reasonable, there is nothing red flag about quick settlement. Saves money for both. Friend had a quick settlement and they are on good terms

According to this law firm, Alabama rarely awards alimony payments for marriages that last less than 12 years.

Getting ideas?

I was surprised when i first heard that too. I know a ton of girls from AU who are now stay at home well before 12 years. Without recent work experience/skills, no alimony would be an absolute killer.

I think she got an absolute gift. Lawyer friend told me that his firm did arbitration on a case where legal fees >~$2mil BEFORE they finally got to arbitration. I don't see the length of divorce + cost of legal being worth the upside she could have won. Even if they did a straight 50/50 of his net worth (est $14mil), that would likely take years. Instead she got $2.5mil cash, quick divorce and no legal fees.

I was told back in 2013 that she was having flings from someone in the AD (I thought it was just gossip). It got brought up after the Maddio's owner told us Dufner regularly came in just to buy cookies for his wife.

Would have to have someone to divorce first.

Every person I know that has gotten a divorce around my age, alimony has been involved. All under 12 years.

Said that a lot of divorces will offer very short term alimony

Person I know pays alimony but they kept the house and equity in it. How they negotiated without selling home
