I'll say this, though, about my hatred of Alabama and Georgia:
Georgia could go 0-12 every year, including 100-0 beatdowns by our hand every year, and I wouldn't be satisfied.
On the other hand, in a perfect world, I want Alabama sitting at 11-0 on Thanksgiving Day. I want Bryant-Denney Stadium filled to the brim with 100,000 screaming rednecks to watch as we crush their dreams of a national championship and sing Rammer Jammer to their intoxicated, tear-filled faces.

What gives me pride is I was born and raised in this state & I love it unconditionally despite all it's faults and bad history.

But I could never root for bama due to state pride.
I will say this though. There is no doubt Bama fans are the worst and I avoid contact w/ them at all costs because I know their pomposity gets me not liking Bama.

Agreed. I guess you could say I hate the fanbase more than the university itself, but it all tunnels into pure hatred I guess.

Also people who think my state pride is stupid as shite might as well think people pulling for team USA is stupid as shite. It's the same damn thing on a broader scale.
Alabama is a middle of the road state size wise but has rich athletic history. I don't see what so damn shitty about having pride in those facts.

If the USA were divided into north and south and you pulled for both, yes, that would be stupid. Quite. We're not talking about pulling for your country, we're talking about you pulling for the most direct enemy to our school, who happens to share a state. That isn't remotely close to pulling against the USA. You as an Auburn fan shouldn't feel any more or less pride for the state of Alabama based on what bammer does in football.
