Alabama leads the sec and is 3rd nationally in sacks per game... they've been murdering OLs.

Yep, and our OL has been inconsistent at best. If Sean plays, expect the same thing that Georgia did to us, bring an extra body on every play and make Sean prove his mobility.

I'm curious if having Lance Thompson on staff now will help us in any way. He's worked with Saban a long time and has been in the Bama camp as recently as last year.

Sean doesn't need to play... I hope our staff has enough sense to keep him on the bench and let his knee fully heal.

My boss is a big knowledgeable Bama fan and his comments this year consolidated to one post

-OL doesn't play nearly as well as the talent would suggest. Solid but not exceptional

-Derrick Henry is only elite if he builds up steam. If he is forced to shake and bake he is mediocre at best

-No one knows what to really think about Coker but WRs are solid

-Defensive line may be best most depth group theve ever had

-LBs are probably weak point still solid

-DBs are considerably improved and better than they get credit for

Damnit - hopefully those were just garbage time sacks.

I personally don't see it helping. Everyone knows what bama is doing but most don't have the players to stop it.

They have a good running game but they're not dominant. It's all Henry, all the time. Especially now that Drake is out.

Coker is not very accurate and he turns the ball over.

WRs are nothing special. Ridley will be good.

Front 7 are GREAT. Back 4 are good. Still have issues with spread teams and mobile QBs

Kicker sucks, punter has been off this season.

We do not have the linebacker play to exploit their OL weaknesses.

17 and 8 will NEVER jam their heads into the play. They backpedal and try to run around 365b lineman and make the tackle 7 yards downfield.

This is my sentiments as well. If I was Kiffin I would leave the passing playbook in the locker room. Not needed.

From what I've seen, they've gotten better than they were early in the year.

I've been surprised how easily he goes down at times. Of course, our front 7 can't stop Idaho's OL from blowing holes open, so I hope our safety's have their helmets strapped on tight.

He's very much like good Bo/bad Bo Wallace.

We're gonna have a hell of a time running on them and if Johnson can't throw anything deeper than bubble screens, we might not score.

Overall their defense is still elite. They're so aggressive and just all have a nose for the ball and tackle so well. I long for those days when we had defenses like that.

There's nothing weak about their LBs. The DBs have improved but really arent gteat. Good but not great. Not tested since A&M, who had real success. But the stupid pick 6s
