I agree. I don't see two losses on States remaining schedule. They're going to the playoff and winning the conference.

The good news is AU can snag that 4th spot if we win out

I don't see it. I'd be shocked. I'm not sold on OM and Bama has yet to look impressive. Arkansas is getting better but they aren't there yet. Even with Bama and Arkansas on the road I don't see them losing those

I don't think it will matter. I don't see us winning out. We have a good team, it just isn't as good as we thought it was going to be. We have issues on the OL that aren't going away. I don't see us being able to win games when we need to throw it all game long. I think it ends up being a good year. I just don't see us getting to the promised land this year. I am wrong three times a year. I hope this is one of those times.

Yep. They're a good team, but they aren't great. They have a terrible pass defense that our inaccurate QB couldn't take advantage of. We were running the ball well on them, Malzahn just went into crazy mode in the redzone. Dak is not a great passer, he just had all day to throw. Come on dude. Just cause Moo state won, you guys wanna start dick riding them. They are definitely a top 20 program this year, but they aren't an elite team.

I say we all stop dwelling on it and focus on us. If their loss comes to mississippi or even in the seccg they may not even need another loss to get passed. Too many things could happen to worry now. Injuries, upsets. Still 6 weeks to go. Take a step back and relax.

What's your opinion of the 2010 Auburn team?

I haven't been dick riding anyone. My post history indicates how highly I think of this Mississippi State team, which occurred during the off-season. They're a damn good team on the verge of being great.

They are ranked #1 in the fricking nation and just beat LSU, Texas A&M and Auburn convincingly.

I'm not trolling. He/she asked my opinion, so I gave it. Moo state is a good, not great team.

Ditto...it literally took the perfect storm for them to win. I still think Auburn has the better team and more depth. They have a great team but on a neutral field or on the road they're very beatable.

The perfect storm? They turned the ball over as many times as we did and still won by 15.

When it comes down to it their DL beat our OL and their D held in the red zone when ours didn't.

Not directing this at the poster I'm replying to but more to everyone in general. This loss was the product of state being better and not us self-destructing. You'll see that when we take the field again. We're legit and can make the playoff but right now we're just not as good as them.

I wouldn't say we're not as good. The game I watched was a toss up. Both teams made a lot mistakes - one team was able to capitalize and the other was not. State will not run the table. They will lose 1 or 2. Even the Kentucky game next week will not be a given. They are also a Dak ankle sprain away from being very average.
