Yes. He is accused of sexual assault. He denies it and took a polygraph to prove it. While sexual assault is obviously a big deal, what made this such a fricking cluster and a potential Title IX issue is someone close to Rice put up flyers around the accuser's sorority dorm.

She very well may be, but putting those flyers out where the accuser lives is incredibly stupid and begging for a heap of negative press.

Polygraphs are not accurate. I think a lot of people don't realize that. Polygraphs are Police tools used to try and put pressure on a suspect and make him crack. Serious scientists (psychologists mostly) will tell you that the test itself is a joke and has a high degree of inaccuracy. I am not saying Landon did or didn't do it, I am just saying I wouldn't put much stock into a polygraph by itself.
In any case, it's coming to the point where guys are going to have to start getting written permission from a girl like college students in California have to do now. If I were an athlete, I would require ID, a statement of consent and then would consult my attorney before the deed. I would then require a videotape of the "event" and send it to my attorney for safe-keeping (so it doesn't end up on Pornhub).

This is true. As a matter of fact, all you have to do to counter is squeeze your butthole, and let loose while telling a lie and the machine gets thrown off.
