I wish we would've looked sharper offensively in the first half of the SJS game, specifically the passing game....
other than that, no complaints.

I was significantly upset with the play of our secondary in the SJSU game. Our lack of any rush DE's also is a problem. We dont do a great job of man coverage, so unless we have some folks crashing the pocket, we have real problems.

I look for KSU to roll their mobile quarterback out on the edges to look for short to intermediate throws. I also wonder if Snyder wont throw some read option at us with that QB.

Their starting QB threw for 218 yards. 75 of those came on one frick up from our secondary.

You were significantly upset with allowing him to throw for 143 yards after our secondary gave him a gift for one completion?

His first two completions in the game were 18 & 75 yards. He threw for a total of 125 yards for the the next 3.5 quarters.

I could understand not enjoying those two plays. But to act as if the secondary played like dogshit the rest of the game is asinine.

You were also significantly upset with 3 interceptions by our secondary? Is that so common that you can just shake it off as if it never happened?

Just a heads up, we are tied for 4th in the conference with UF with 4 INTs on the year. Every team ahead of us has played one more game than we have. Looking at ints/game puts us at second in the conference and fourth in the entire country.

That does make me feel better. The secondary in the first half Arkansas game coupled with the last minute of the BCSNCG had me and melting.

It does make me feel better with this:
1st half def passing yards given up - 260 on 31 att
2nd half def passing yards given up - 169 on 32 att

It's not like teams stop passing, we just stop the passes.

To also stave off 1990s/2000s Auburn eeyorism I went and looked at the teams heights and weights vs K State. Our WRs are very slightly taller.

On their WR side they're the same size as our DBs. That's good.

As to trench warfare, I think our O-line averages 6-5 and 305 lbs. Their d-line averages 6-3 and 268 lbs.

Flip side, their o-line is big too at 6-4 and 304 lbs on average. Our d-line comes in at 6-3 and 293. Which seems good, and given our S&C I bet ours are in pretty good shape.

Hell wasn't Arkansas' o-line 320 on average?
