Good. Better delay it until you know you have the funds than starting it with the chance of not finishing it.

Yet someone will spin this as a bad look

Agreed.

What type of renovations, exactly? I wouldn't agree with expansion as much as a facelift for the entire stadium.

Pretty much a relocation or rebuilding of the North end zone

Thread hi-jack, sort of, but I really liked the layout of Mississippi State's stadium. It was a lot nicer than I expected.

Agree. We need a face lift before we go for the boob job.

If it happens, it will start the day after next years IB. The biggest reasons to change are enhanced recruiting rooms and locker rooms.

I have been to every SEC venue except Mizzou and JH is adequate. TAMU is in a class by itself. I like UK's stadium. Tttown is impressive from the end zones, but the sides are concrete like ours. I was not impressed by Ole Miss or MSU new end zone additions.

Part of this renovation would be placing the home locker room under the North End Zone.

Irrelevant questions that come to mind:

- Would Tiger Walk remain the same? I assume the team would still enter the South Gate and just continue to walk across the field to the North End Zone.

- Since the players would exit the locker room from the North End Zone, would the marching band/student section and the visitors seats/band be flipped?

Tiger walk they said would end with the players walking across the field to the Locke room on north side

Student section would be flipped supposedly.

They want to put luxury seating at the North endzone, students would be on the sidelines, which I dont see.

There are a few groups that have come together from people that sit in the north endzone. Everyone is afraid they are going to be moved to the upper deck.

I dig the upperdeck over the north endzone. Had north endzone seats for years and recently moved to upper deck. Much better perspective.

Wish we would just brick the outside, make minor interior tweaks and call it a day. Nothing is worse than a stadium with a lot of empty seats when a team is having a bad year, i.e. Ms State. Ole Miss probably isn't too far behind either.

The new thing in stadiums is enhanced gameday experience and not more seats. In 2016, it's a lot easier to just watch the game in high def in the comfort of your own home. Stadium renovations are gearing toward comfort, higher-end concession options, etc.

I guarantee you in 50-100 years (if college football is still around after more concussion stuff comes out), these massive stadiums are going to be mostly empty.

I'm not a big fan of expanding JH. The capacity is sufficient and I imagine it will be for the foreseeable future, too. I can see a time in the not so distant future that schools will struggle to fill their over-expanded stadiums.

However, JH could use some help getting it out of the 80's but the location and bones are good, IMO. Clean it up and make improvements to the gameday experience and call it a day

Agree. JHS needs a renovation for sure, but an expansion it does not.

I would like to see it stay at the same capacity or even a little less with more room and better seating like an NFL stadium. Along with an exterior update to finish all the way around and it is good. I see no reason to push to 100,000 seats.

People always say this but I think it's a huge overreaction

There is nothing like a live sporting event. I miss going to every game or most of them since we moved away. I don't think the stadiums will be empty, but they will need to have better amenities.

I'm for expansion if it's for more comfortable seating not capacity.
We have a huge list of people waiting for extra premium seating that aren't being catered to.
