Quarterback Jason Campbell plans to retire, reports NFL Media's Ian Rapoport.

Campbell, 33, appeared in four games with the Cincinnati Bengals last season after previous stints with the Cleveland Browns, Chicago Bears, Oakland Raiders and Washington Redskins.

He reportedly rejected "multiple opportunities" to sign a contract for the 2015 season.

He's had a good run. Solid career with about 25 million dollars in career earnings. He'll be settling into his new lifestyle quickly

Isn't he the son of a coach? Always thought he'd make a good one, what with all the different offenses he's been forced to learn over the years. LSU game in 2004 was best game ive been to in person. Thanks Jason!

Hated he was always with bad teams. Spent the prime of his career with the Redskins and Raiders
I wish we could have seen what he could've done with a good coach and a good team

Jason Campbell might have been an upper echelon type quarterback had he had some consistency in his career in terms of an offensive system. I remember reading about how many offensive coordinators he played for from his time at Auburn until his recent retirement, and it is a ridiculous number.

I heard him do an interview when he was with the Redskins. Him and Carlos Rogers rented a condo together. They asked how many cars he had. He said one. He said he was not going to be one of those players that was broke when they retired. Seemed like he had a good head on his shoulders.

Weird when guys you went to school with retire from the NFL.

Campbell, Ronnie and Marcus all lived in a condo complex with us. All three were very personable guys.

Auburn should bring him back. If there's not a post for him as an on field coach, then some kind of off field role.

As far as I know, he hasn't been married.

So there's that.

Also won about 30 games as a starter, despite being hampered by injuries and stuck on some crappy teams.
