Haven't noticed bama's recruiting suffer since he left, doubt FSU's will either.

IIRC, pruitt is a force in south AL and the panhandle... getting him away from that area (and having Craig on our staff) is a good thing.

We've cleaned Bama's clock instate this year for the most part, and Pruitt was about to take Humphrey to FSU to boot. They definitely got weaker in Mobile after he left. Look at Joshua Casher...only at Bama cause we told him to screw off.

Well they are still easily the #1 class sooo....

I'm not saying he isn't any good but he's had a silver spoon career this far. He now has a chance to really prove what he's capable of.

It's becoming an offseason tradition for Kirby to not get a new job. Either he likes it in T-town, or no one is impressed with him. Who knows.

Smart is making well over 1 million at bama right now with some of the best talent to work with... where's his motivation to leave?

He's also still very young... early 40s I think.

Kirby has pretty much shown that it's going to take a good job to leave

Vandy is an interesting option... they're interviewing Stanford's DC Derek Mason, and Smart as a better resume and is a better fit there (IMO). Plus Vandy is not scared to open up the pocket book.

Odds are he stays in tuscaloosa and is the odds on favorite to replace saban once he retires, though... one would think.

I don't think that will happen. He needs to prove he can actually be a head coach before he gets a big time gig. Bama would be crazy to just hand him the keys.

Smart's not going to Vandy. He's perfectly happy making over a million at bama and waiting until that job opens up, unless another big time job opens up before hand.
