Duke broke Dampeer's jaw he is likely out for the season. Dampeer is a senior but hasnt played since game 1 so he can take a redshirt if he chooses.
Auburn is in a "mess" at DT. Russell and Monty are the only two DTs playing well and "2 isn't enough". Dev Lawrence and Swain have not lived up to their expectations (shocker on Swain
)
In the last 2 recruiting cycles we've only taken 4 DTs and only one (Russell) was a highly recruited kid.
Practices have been great since DUke is gone
Muschamp is looking everywhere for DTs. We should see some new faces against UK. "If we don't get better at stopping the run we aren't going to win many more games"

What's up with Andrew Williams? What about using Cowart at DT some? He got into the backfield pretty well last week from there. Or move Lambert to DT. He is too slow for DE.

I'd move Lambert inside over Cowart. Lambert is just not quick enough to be outside.

I think Cowart can eventually play at 260-270, but it is clear that better competition and weight gain is screwing with him.
275+ is too big for him unless he is Carl Lawson stacked with muscle no fat

Wasn't the DL supposed to be a strength this year? If Muschamp is looking for DL everywhere, he might want to start on the recruiting trail.

He sure can get washed inside and out of the play with a quickness.
I may be the only one, but it is refreshing to have a coach recognize and acknowledge our deficiencies the way Muschamp has. It makes it easier to stomach than the typical "well we are getting better everyday things are great" approach. I hope he can fix the mess.

While I agree that Purifoy should be cleared, sitting a year and refining his shot even more with Persons may be extremely helpful.
It is annoying as frick, but for a player with his level of raw talent, a redshirt year put to good use isn't end of the world.
