How did they forget how to tackle in a week

It's going on two weeks, starting to become a trend. What some of you guys are not realizing is that we've scored 42 and 35 points and nearly lost both games.

You guys have a good football IQ, what do you do if those are the players you have to work with and everyone knows slant across the middle is guaranteed 10-15 yards against Auburn?

If we get that shot at FSU again, JW is going to eat us up across the middle and we're going to be looking pretty stupid two years in a row.

The alignment and scheme look fine from where I sit but the arm tackling and poor angles have nothing to do with talent.

Meh I think we just need some better pass rushers. We have some good interior linemen that can fill gaps for the run. Now we just need some speedsters off the edge to pressure the QB.

I'd fap until my dick fell off if Lawson came back anytime soon.

Johnson was dialing up a LOT of blitzes early trying to get Wallace off his game. It didn't work and we were getting burned d a lot.

Fourth quarter he quit with the blitzes pretty much entirely and results improved. It wasn't Johnson's best game. But at least he was smart enough to adjust and go back to more of a base D.

BTW, something that has been overlooked is our Dlinemen did a good job getting pressure on their own tonight. No sacks, but our tackles did a great job of getting in the backfield all night. Ends too.

It was the exact same blitz every time. LB in the A gaps. Not to mention the players show their hand too early

Adams and Blackson both had sacks.

I think we had the most sacks we've had all season pretty much. I'm not sure why we didn't try more base defense given how much pressure we were getting with the d-line. It's kinda baffling really, particularly since they were killing us almost entirely with quick slants, screens, and designed QB runs.

Ellis had a pretty terrible gameplan tonight.

the real question is what is Malzahn going to do with EJ after the season.

Give him a raise. If anyone needs to go it's Garner. All that extra time ellitor claims he spent coaching and not recruiting certainly is not taking effect.

Nobody tackles out of bounds better than we do.

Defense is seriously regressing.

That is what is so troubling. Undisciplined/blown assignments on every other play.
