I tried to watch that 50 Shades of Grey movie. I think I only made it 30 minutes into the movie. It was terrible. The acting is terrible. The chemistry between the main characters is terrible. I fast forwarded it to the first love scene and turned it off after that. It's like they threw that movie together as quickly as possible.

Diddy why would you subject yourself to that shite?

Wife is taking me Saturday. Thanks for the spoiler.
On a side note, my son is having fun with his new toy. It is however costing me a fortune in corn.

Beef up the trebles and I could see that jerk bait doing work in the salt. Ive been without a kayak for a year and a half... Looking real hard at an Outback. For my fellow fishing Aubies, there is nothing like a sow snapper out of a yak.

What would be cool is if you could tie an air horn to the motion detector on that camera. Basically have it go off every time a fricking deer shows up.
Either that or a shotgun. Venison for errbody.

Pretty much all i do is light saltwater tackle fishing. I go down to St Marks Florida for Speckled trout a few times a year.
My plan is to get some of Laniers jerkbaits and try those. Its flats fishing with grass on the bottom. Usually use plastic shrimp (gulps) and they work excellent. Might dip the Lanier bait in some gulp juice just to spice it up.

Gulp isn't gonna do much on a hard bait, it'll come off first cast. For average specks it would do fine, and for most reds. But if a big jack came along, or that hook got to the crushers on a bull red it's over. It's crazy what a big red can do to a treble hook.

I've caught almost all my redfish on live shrimp. I'll use the gulps or another artificial bait on specs, but almost always switch to live shrimp for reds.

Redfish on topwaters are about the only reason I bother fishing inshore. They hit a spook like it stole something from them. Problem is, their mouth is on the bottom of their head, so while you get vicious strikes, a lot of them miss the bait.
But they almost always come back.

We flats fish in St. Marks, which is at the mouth of the confluence of the St Marks and Wakulla rivers. Water isnt deeper than about 10 feet for miles out with a grassy bottom. Great cover for speckled trout etc.
There are lots of oyster reefs etc close in. I have a great friend and guide who is expert in those waters and can get us back into places nobody else gets into. There are holes back up in there with some big reds.
I've caught redfish a few different ways, including top water, live shrimp, gulps, and even one time a live pinfish we put a big hook through its back and put in. That lasted about 3 minutes before WHAM! daddy redfish.
I really prefer specs though as I like to eat them. I dont care for redfish so much as food. But they are FUN to catch.
