...I see him do this.

That was the moment I thought we had hired the right guy to coach our offense. A great play call, at the ideal time and situation in the game, executed to perfection.

I second whomever it was that posted about watching the '09 game against UTee and wondered where THAT offense had gone.

True story, I used to buy weed from Terrell Zachery's older brother
One of the more underrated players in my memory, and a personal all time favorite.

But yeah, Sean hasn't even attempted 30 passes and Gus didn't call him any plays that gave him the chance to do that. He looked pretty damn good. Give him some time.

Gus is going to have to take the training wheels off White this week. He will have two full weeks of reps. I think our D will improve, Muschamp aint playing either give effort or be benched.

Man, I watched some Chris Todd highlights the other day, our route trees were so much more complicated then. Now it seems like two guys run a route and the other two just kind of frick off. Things are so bizarre.

Zachary and Adams never got the credit they deserved for being outstanding SEC wide receivers.

I think they simplified the routes for JJ, I hope they change things for White

How basic are they? Are our wideouts allowed to change the route based on coverage? Or do we not teach that level of offense to our qbs and wr. Serious question for those that may know.

It seems to me that we run a total of about 5 routes total.....with them all being predetermined.

Tre Smith > Sean White

But both were great white hopes.

I know in 09 the did. Especially from a corner to a dig/post. Watch Mississippi state game from 09...todd and Adams did it like 3-4 times

If you get a chance, go watch the highlights from the game. I think you might be surprised. He is very good at selling the play, which is something I never saw JJ do. For example on the screen play to Melvin Ray he didn't just catch the snap and sling it out wide. He let the D linemen get up field as he drifted a few steps back in the pocket then threw it. MR catches it, breaks a tackle and goes for 20. He also works the pocket and line of scrimmage well. On one play in particular he gets pressure, steps up but doesn't take off. Instead he moves laterally along the line of scrimmage, directing Barber into position behind the linebacker who comes up to hit him. Once he did, he dumped it to Barber, who if he had kept his feet had blockers in front of him down the side line. It easily could have been six points. It still ended up gaining 20 yards though.

Why do you think a lot of people say Gus runs a mickey mouse high school offense?

High Schools change routes based on coverage. I'm sure Malzahn does this as well.

Sean White is our guy. No doubt. Also, he's way quicker than I originally thought.

It is well documented that Malzahn runs static not dynamic routes.

Lots of good plays and play calling was not bad until the red zone.

Not a big play but really liked this using 2 running backs.

Didn't get to watch the game but I love those highlights. He seemed to be making a lot of (good) reads instead of just dumping the ball off to the first guy. I like that.
