Freeze and Grimes are the two names floating around early.

I'd support Freeze. The rest are retread chumps. Steele would signal a dead period for our program.

Freeze is trailer trash Gus. He lost 5 games this year with a 3rd year starter qb who may be a 1st rounder. Even Terry Bowden beat him. And that doesn't even get into his perverted personal life. He's creepy and should never represent AU.
Per the report, another woman even created a closed Facebook group "to offer a safe place to discuss Freeze after some former Briarcrest students received threats for criticizing the coach and making allegations about him online."

Katie Dalmasso, 27, said she was an eighth grader at Briarcrest in 1999 when Freeze made her change shirts inside his office after he said her Grateful Dead T-shirt violated school dress code.
"Coach Freeze pulled me in his office and told me that my shirt represented drugs," Dalmasso said. “I said, ‘I’ll go change in the bathroom,’ and when I said that he said, ‘No, you’re going to change in here so I get the (Grateful Dead) shirt and you can’t have it back.’
"He didn’t do anything sexual. But I stood in the corner and faced the wall when I did it and I changed out of my shirt. No privacy."
Another former Briarcrest student said Freeze was “hyper attentive’’ to the length of her skirts and that he loomed in the parking lot after she would go to her car to change clothes.

Logic backs this up. But these are also the times when we tend to over-perform. I hope that will be the case.
I don't want Freeze or Steele but I will grit my teeth if it comes to pass.
I was melting when Gus got hired and then 2013 happened.

Ah yes let’s get freeze. The guy who destroyed the last SEC program he was with and is coming off an 8-5 season where his best win was UAB

At this rate the only coach I’d take is Freeze. If we hire Steele you will lose half of the fan base. Nobody wants a lane arse hire like Steele.

Yea for that level. But if that’s the best you can beat with a potential 1st round quarterback, what will you do here?

My point is this may work out well. I tend to doubt it but who knows?
Chiz got us a national championship. Gus gave us an exciting offense.
The reality is, more coaches than not will fail in the SEC pressure cooker and our two biggest rivals make it even more challenging.
It is little more than hope that this gets better, but at this point that is about all I have.
