Basketball is beginning to be exciting. I hope the team won't have a let down against Texas Southern now. Maybe that win over Mich. State was a fluke.

It's highly exciting to think of our potential next year.

Kareem Canty will be a huge help. May start out rusty (2 years without playing) but have heard he dominates in practice.

Canty would only have missed one season?

I think you're right though. We will really miss KT and Antoine but the other pieces should be there. TJ Dunans will be the scoring replacement we need. If we can hold on to Horace Spencer we can be really dangerous next year

Canty played as a Freshman, sat out last year due to NCAA issues (not sure what, but assume HGH) and sitting out this year for transfer reasons.

Bruh read what you just linked. He played last year as his freshman season but missed 2012-2013. He won't be sitting two years in a row like you just stated twice.

Ya... he definitely played last year

Probably was one of those academically partial qualifier. If you can keep grades your freshman year you are eligible regardless of "admissions" eligibility. SEC does not allow that

I am trying to figure out what our chances of making the NIT are right now. The Coastal + TTech losses are absolutely killing us right now.

I just don't know how to look at the SEC since a lot of teams seem better than i anticipated and others not as good

The SEC is a wild card like always. The safe bet is win your home games lose your road games. That's held true for most over the past couple years

Our RPI is 147 right now. It will move up some if we have a .500 record in conference but we're going to need a few road wins to give us a proper boost.

The Coastal + TTech
Yep. Should have won those two. Will probably kill our NIT chances unless we keep improving at a dramatic rate.
