Auburn has a 1000 yard receiver, two 1000 yard rushers, leads the SEC in scoring offense and finishes the season with a top 20 scoring defense

Huh?

None of our bread and butter players were out for long. We didn't lose any offensive linemen, our running backs stayed healthy despite high running volume, and Marshall was only out for cupcake games.

That's what I mean by 'lucky.' See Georgia 2013 for an example of 'unlucky.'

Considering how often Marshall is running the zone read and getting hit, I'm just glad he wasn't injured more. This really isn't rocket science.

My prediction... 2014 will be the Auburn GOAT offense... in terms of YPG and points.

Not really a good example.

UGA seems to lose more players to injury on a yearly basis than any other team in the SEC. 2013 wasn't all that different than many other years.

My bolde predictions.

-AU has over 8000 yards total offense (only been done 2 times in college football history)
-Dook and Sammie will both have 1000 yards receiving and start the year off with a bang by both getting 100 and a TD each versus Arky's weak arse DBs
-At least 2 1000 yard rushers, maybe 3
-Nick wins the Heisman

...and most importantly
-We win the natty

AU wins 11 or more games in consecutive seasons for the first time in our history.

Sammie goes over 1k
CAP leads the team in rushing
Grant has 1k AP yards
DQ is very involved in the offense and special teams will finish with 1k AP yards

For some reason I remember someone saying that DQ wasn't going to be involved with ST. Can someone confirm or correct that assumption?

Grant takes the starting RB spot and puts up all SEC numbers.

Offense will be great and Defense will be in the top 30.

We miss Clark's punting.

Not sure who said that or why but DQ has been fielding punts in practice so it is very possible he will be on ST.

I think it was implied at one point in last year's recruiting megathread. Anyway I'm glad he's doing returns, he can be our Cordarelle

He has worked with KO returners and Punt Returners this spring. I imagaine he'll also take Ricardo's "sweep" carries

Lol no. I hope not. Patterson was electric on returns, but he was a sub-par receiver. His route running was pitiful. He was soley a deep threat to burn or screen guy to get him the ball in space.

This!

It's easy to forget the incredible attention the media gave Auburn last year. Starting with SEC Media Days in Birmingham, to "prayer at Jordan Hare", "the 'second' prayer at Jordan Hare" and of course one of the biggest turnarounds in college football. You can't buy this stuff. And I'm not including Saban and his lap dancing sidekick Pork Chop (player safety/death certificates/sickle cell anemia...HA!).

Nationally, everyone will be keeping an eye on Auburn. If NM and Gus can come out and run an effective 60/40 run-pass offense(I get lightheaded just thinking about it), Marshall wins the Heisman.

On the flip side, last year I believe we ranked about 10th in the SEC in overall defense. If we can make a quick recovery from the Ted Roof disease and place 4th or 5th in total defense, we easily win a NC next year.

I'm all Posi now
