If Boom goes to SCe? I ask because supposedly JP was #2 on Gus's short list last year.

I would make that deal with the devil in order to save this recruiting class and the knowledge he would only be here for a year anyway.

Yes please

Muschamp and Pruitt are pretty much equal in my eyes. Since Muschamp is already here, obviously i want to keep him but if he leaves and we get Pruitt, there will be no melt.

Would rather keep Muschamp.

LOL, I am going to keep pretending he is not going anywhere.

Don't give a shite as long as he gets it done on the field. I doubt he would come to AU, though. He is a bammer through and through.

AU will be stuck with some unknown DC and next season will be a disaster. That's my gut feeling.

Same. This squad needs a baller on defense to tie everything together and we're not going to get that next time around.

Sadly, I'm turning full negatiger these days. I don't think we're headed anywhere good.

The best thing Gus did since 2013 was hire CWM. It was a major shot in the arm even if the D was only marginally improved most of the season.

With CWM leaving, it's going to deflate the program, destroy recruiting on defense, and force our players to, yet again, learn a new freaking system.

Yes, I am in full negabarner mode.

Don't trust Pruitt.

Seems as if his time at FSU was overhyped. FSU was a top defense for several years in a row (top 4 in nation), then he got the helm and no difference, left and there was a drop off by they're coming back. Georgia was a good defense (top 4 sec) for several years as well.

Now importantly, the GA defense has made an inept UF offense look awesome.

Is there any Tubberville body Tubberville else Tucker's dad?

He'd be the best DC we've had in a while, I'd scoop him up in a heartbeat.

What he's done at ga coming off their atrocious defenses under fatham is incredible. I believe they have the #1 pass d in the nation this year too with mostly players I've never heard of.

Hell, I hope cwm does leave so we can get pruitt.

Hey buck up trooper.

As soon as we find a juco dual threat QB, we going to the ship. No defense needed. Just a nose guard. From mobile.

Mentioned this in the other thread.

The problem with Pruitt and not sure if this has been mentioned, but if we go after him if Boom does leave, then we're getting ourselves into the same situation as we did with Boom - one and done. He's about ready for a HC'ing job.

Of course JJ might throw a bunch of money at him and sign him to a huge buyout and with our luck Gus will get canned and we'll end up having to pay Pruitt his money.

REality is in today's college football world quality coordinators won't usually stay for more than 2 years anywhere. Might as well take the best available if you can.

Not necessarily: Bud Foster, Venables, Smart, Chavis (debatable), M. Stoops, Dave Wommack (debatable) are some that come immediately to mind.

I think T-Rob would be a good candidate. He's worked under Boom for 5 years. You would think if AU offered him the DC position, it's a better spot that SC. Especially since he and Will have been working to bring their recruits in this year. It's not like he's starting from scratch.
