Frick Tech. I live in Atlanta. Do not want to play in ATL because its boring. Cant we play someone new?

We haven't played Tech since 2003. I'm 23, just because you old geezers saw Auburn play Tech a bunch before the current student body was born doesn't mean those of us that aren't geriatric wouldnt be interested in seeing AU matched up with a traditional rival. I'd also rather an easy drive to ATL and have an excuse to see and stay with friends I don't see much than spend a shite ton of money flying out to the other side of the country for one weekend.

Look, we can't help it because you have the poors and can't drive out of state to see a away game
Frick Tech and their high school offense. And Frick Atlanta

Would like to see us play Miami or Texas.
Either would be a national marque game, both are prime recruiting states and areas, we owe both of them an arse kicking.

What if we played USF or UCF

I'd be shitty. That's a matchup with nothing to gain and a lot to lose.

It wouldn't surprise me to hear the announcement of AU and GT series here pretty soon for 2018 and 2019
I would like that. I don't think it's necessary to express how much it would suck to play clemson again.
I'm actually surprised to many are against a tech series. I knwo they aren't a real "sexy" name or team, and yes their offense is boring as balls, but there's a ton of history there. Plus, and more importantly to me, we've lost the last 2. Both to reggie ball who many consider to be the worst 4 year starting QB in NCAA history. Also despite the fact they are little brother in their state, they are on the rise and could actually be a pretty formidable opponent by then.

The old school, big money folks like playing our traditional opponents, Clemson and Georgia Tech. I remember many a GT game, the Wreck Tech Parade, etc...
I am good with GT, easy to get to, etc.
ETA: I fricking hate playing Clemson.

You're in Auburn...you can drive to Atlanta everyday if you want. Live a little...

Kick JJ in the balls twice and send me those tots!
I have rethought my position on this. I am going to kick him in the nads 3 times, then eat his tots in front of him as he writhes in pain.

And those of us old enough to remember "Wreck Tech" also have enough $$ to get on an airplane to take a game day trip.

We've played Texas. Wouldn't mind playing them again.
But, just going by memory here, we've TRIED in the past to schedule ND, Ohio State, and Michigan, but they don't want any part of us or they'll do it, but it has to give them 2 home games to our 1.
Maybe some of y'all would be more than happy to bend and submit to the mighty Northern Powers, but I say frick'em.

A game with Auburn doesn't really benefit them all that much unless it is a neutral site game. They don't have a ton of alumni in Alabama, don't recruit Alabama and it isn't a huge market anyways. For Ohio St specifically, a guaranteed loss isn't desired since UM can't beat AU

They may have had Reggie Ball, but they also had Calvin Johnson...

After we first choose another school an then have to pay $500,000 to buy out the game.
