This is going to be fun for the students and fans to actually have sporting events to be excited about in the spring besides Baseball.

I know, but baseball is really the only sporting event that is 'well' attended in the spring. I mean, people did go to basketball games, but the mentality was always, "How much are we going to lose by?" or "I'm just going to watch UK's freshmen who will be NBA stars next year."

How do student bball tickets work? Do you just show up? Or do you have to get tickets on your ignite card?

I think lately you could just show up with your ignited card, before that, you had to get a wrist band before the day of the game (which was free). If you got the wrist band at the gate, I think it was $5.
If the program grows like I expect it too, I think it may change to something like the football tickets or a situation where students have to camp out.

I'd imagine as basketball gets better it starts with paying for tickets then a football ticket seniority lottery.
Considering the frequency of games and the ease of transfering tickets online though, should be reasonable that everyone can go to games

I may be naïve but I don't believe they'll change anything about ticket format for students. They'll keep it free with an ignited card and just let lines build outside the arena before each game. So that keeps a raucous crowd excited
