Meant to add this to my post about Juju earlier, but I can't even begin to explain how good Kenyatta is at his job and how important he has been in that recruitment
I used to talk him up a lot when we we're recruiting Pappoe. If there was one guy in ATL/Ga that you wanted to be connected to its him. All the big prospects and their parents like and respect him. I like that he's finally getting his recognition.

I think it becomes more likely by the day. but not ready to commit to a yes. If he decommits, I'll feel a lot better.

That would be us turning a huge corner in this rebuild

Man, this roster is shaping up nicely. At least on offense. Almost enough to convince me Thorne can perform above his natural abilities. I'm getting sucked in.

It's hard not to get sucked in, but my expectations for the season are still pretty average. I think the additional defensive help and WR boost puts us in a (7-5) (8-4) range. Before the portal I was thinking another (6-6) season COULD be imminent, but now I've adjusted my floor and ceiling. That's not to say we couldn't win 9 games, but I'm just trying to be reasonable at this point. Basically I'm saying this MIGHT be the first competitive and fun Auburn season since 2019

Definitely a fair assessment. If Thorne can put it all together, I think we could be scary…but that’s a big if right now. And hopefully our RB’s can learn how to pick up blitzes and block to give him that extra second to make good throws.

I’ve been broken and will never have faith in our offense until proven wrong

I haven't been the same since I saw a FB throw a pass on 4th down to try and beat Clemson

Thorne was actually very good last year according to analytics. It’s the WR that made him look otherwise.

SEC Stat Cat says nearly 13% of his passes should have been caught. That would have put his completion percentage up in the 70’s.

We would have beaten UGA and Bama
And who know else if we had WR’s with catchable hands.

Stop it!!!!!!!!! Stop using logic, statistical evidence, and basic intelligence to back up your points!!!!!! That's NOT ALLOWED HERE LOL Thorne is the worst QB to throw a football, and we're doomed if he takes a snap this fall!!!! lol

Finally! Someone has the balls to say what no one else will! All you posibarners in here with your 7 win season predictions need to remember that Thorne is the AntiChrist himself. We're going 0-12 and looking for a new coach in December, and I won't be convinced otherwise. Unless we add some rando QB from shithole state. Then we might compete for a natty.

Didnt geoorrgia win a natty with a journeyman qb and lose with a Lamborghini at the helm....just asking for a friend.

We ridin with Thorne and he will do a fine job, and every mistake, by every player on the team, offense and defense, will be blamed on him.....and he will do a fine job regardless.

Why do we say these things? Georgia had an insane defense. Absolutely insane

This is peak offseason dribble

Rocky Mtn I wish I shared your optimism.

I am not at the negative level of Jcrane or AU238, but I would say I am closer to Weagle,….i have to see some sustained good play on the field by the offense before I get hopeful….

Unreal. That would be 4 for 4 on 1st choice transfer targets. The off season gm hire suddenly looking genius.

Is this because we have money leftover from not signing Ryan Williams?

It will be interesting with Perry. I doubt he has a huge impact his first year. If that happens, I could see it being tough holding on to him through next years transfer portal.

I think he will have a large impact. I know someone posted some of the other very good players in the past who did not have fruitful first years, but there was a reason. DeVonte was playing behind three future NFL receivers when he was a freshman......we dont have that problem.

He is one big bodied, physical fast specimen. Hell they had him knocking heads on defense in high school. You throw it his way....there are no 50/50 balls
