I am not a JJ fan, but he has made some damn good hires in other sports. He brought in a great shooty hoops coach. He brought in a multiple time NC winning softball coach.

Gus showed early on the he was one of the best young coaches in the nation. I don't know if he let all of his hype go to his head..............if maybe DC's are figuring out his O......or that he has a QB coach that is doing a shitty job of developing our QB's.

Do you think Jacobs would have hired BP if it weren't for the circumstances that existed? BP fell into our lap because of those circumstances. I will give you the basketball and softball hires. But he has made 2 bad football hires and a bad baseball hire and look what has happened to the Swim program.

When it comes to football, his 'specialty', he just can't get over his Auburn roots. The next AD needs to be someone outside this university, I'm tired of these administrators trying to relive their glory days or acting as if they're responsible for the team's success.

That's like asking "would you eat ice cream if there was dog shite in it".

BP could have waited on almost any job in the country. He was making good money with ESPN... he wasn't in a hurry to get a job.

BP said specifically in interviews after he was hired that JJ sold him on the Auburn program. I understand that that doesn't fit your convenient narrative, but its the truth.

I gave him credit for BP. Auburn could have never hired a BP type basketball coach without the circumstances that existed. Historically we are the worst basketball program in the league. I hope that he stays a long time
