Of all the former players in the vid who would help us the most?
I'd go with Nick Fairley or Carlos Rogers.

Rogers easily. We need help at CB more than any other position. Rogers was a CFB version of Revis Island at AU.

I think the answer to this question is always Fairley. He could change the game
And having Ford on the opposite end from Lawson would not necessarily be a bad thing

We have Jon Jones and former all big10 Countess. We should be alright at CB
Don't forget that with Fairley, you don't need good CBs if the QB is on the ground

Even though Fairley got his props, I think people forget how dominate that guy was in 2010. He had to be found on every play by the offense. It was glorious to watch.

And not much beyond that. Certainly nobody on Carlos Rogers level. I know 2004 was a long time ago but Rogers had as much ability to change the game as Fairley did. And less attitude too. We already have depth on the DL and multiple players that can change the game. I'll take the lock down corner.

I do agree somewhat with you and do remember how good Roges was in 2004 but people were afraid of Fairley. His uncontrollable actions made him that much more dangerous.
He wa our most dominate Defensive player for one season in a very long time.

As an Auburn fan, I pray we get back to the type of defense seen in those early clips.

They also made him a liability. I don't remember Rogers ever nearly getting ejected or multiple 15 yard penalties.
People were afraid to throw near Rogers. He took away an entire half of a field.
Not saying I don't love Fairley and wouldn't take him back in a heartbeat, because I would. I'm just saying that this particular team could use Carlos Rogers more than it could use Nick Fairley. I see a couple guys on our DL with Lombardi potential, but I don't see any Thorpe winners in our secondary.

Agree.
But personally, Id still take Nick

Looks like somebody buys into UGA myth-making.
I'm pretty sure Fairley only had two 15-yd penalties that entire year.
One deserved late-hit on Murray in the UGA game (*after* they had chop blocked him at least once).
And one bullshite unsportmanlike conduct penalty in the Cam-Back.
Please do provide evidence on all these 15-yd penalties on Fairley in 2010 you seem to remember.
(Oh yeah, one in the BCSCG too. So only 2 legitimate 15-yd penalties all year long.)

He can't respond right now. People are saying he has been ejected from the game for something he posted.

I tried to Google it a few times and got nothing.
Does anybody know when fall practice begins?

Oh yeah, follow-up question...
When the hell did Nick Fairley ever get ejected from a game as BJ said?
As far as I know, the answer is "never".
