Is this whipping of Arkansas worthy of a raise & extension?

What do ya say, Lanier & Posibarners?

The contract is very one sided.

Why is there never a give back if a coach screws the pooch?

Gus is good at beating very bad football teams

He's right though. Can't argue that.

It was a great win over a really bad team.

We get a chance to see whether things have evolved versus progressively more capable teams A&M, UGA and Bama.

If we win one of those, I think Gus keeps the job as long as the scores are not 38-0 or whatever.

I’m hopeful that things can evolve. I just can’t pull for AU to lose.

Gus is maddening, if we get everybody back for the stretch run, maybe we can finish strong at 10-2.

I realize hope is not much of a strategy and my hope will not win any games, but in the words of Jesse Jackson, “keep hope alive!”

Some of his comments and his body language last night makes it seem like he knows he's one loss away from unemployment. Maybe holding his feet to the fire like this is what he needs to get his arse in gear. I think we all agree that the talent is there and that at least old versions of Gus could make a run with this team. All that being said, my opinion of him still hasn't really changed since the Clemson loss. Hope he proves me wrong, but I'm still not getting excited about this team until they at least knock off A&M and UGA.

Every year I think he is going to make it happen. Every year he loses to a shitty team like LSU or UGA and does not utilize the talent he has.

UGA has been truly bad one time since he has been at Auburn so your statement was true one time.

As for LSU, a 2 loss, top 25 team shouldn't be considered shitty either despite their loss to Troy at home.

As for losing to shitty teams, Tubs was the king of it. He managed to lose to South Florida once and GT twice badly not to mention a lot of SEC teams that were terrible the season we lost to them. Granted, he would turn around and have his best game against a good team.

Lots of similarity between Gus and Tubby now it seems. And I was referring to the bad UGA team he choked on last year. I just can't put any stock In His abilities to coach talent after seeing so many collapses. TubberGusshell.

the truth is that we are UGA's super bowl and seem to still be under Smart too. Alabama is ours in general but Arkansas seems to be Gus's super bowl. If he has one good game a year it will be against them. he has scored over 40 points every time against them except in 2013 when we scored 35.

Everybody has their Super bowl and I think you're right.

You know it's your super bowl when you can say after a later loss that at least you beat xyz.

As much as I'd like to make uga our super bowl there is that Bama game.

I just wish Gus would act like he cared about something other than Bama, because he has too. Just show some life.
