I don't see this hire keeping any of the recruits, by itself. hell some of the recruits didn't even know who Gus was. These kids don't tend to familiarize themself with anyone other than who is recruiting them.

Who gives a shite, the recruits will stay or go, but it doesn't change the fact Ellis is a top DC hire.

I like this hire. He has had some games where he was blown out (SECCG) but has put together some solid defenses. He has a good reputation for recruiting some great players (see some of the badasses come out of USCe defenses the past couple years).
Also keep in mind he recruited Clowney. A top recruit and a guy who's mother was reportedly very up tight about what type of person was recruiting her son. We need to start showing this good-guy, hard working type of image on the recruiting trail.

Not sure about that. Looking at his wiki page, he doesn't seem to be anywhere more than 3 years. Even so, very solid hire.
