Dang my wife had the scoop on this early yesterday when AUPD came in to her office to get ED's class schedule when they were looking for him to arrest him. I told her the next time AUPD comes a calling for a student's athlete's class schedule to let me know ASAP

The whole "I didn't recognize his name" this isn't going to cut it she had better start memorizing the rosters.

Meh. He's suspended indefinitely. Gus will make the call whenever he pleases.

You know what, I've enjoyed being out of the offseason police blotter the past couple years for anything serious.

The instant this is confirmed as a legit arrest with probable cause, kick him off of the team.

That's what the fiance did while interviewing for an AD job. It works really well.

I would rather weed out the really bad seeds b4 they spread ideas to other players and we end with groups of players committing crimes like Bama has. Plus when players see others getting to slide they don't worry about getting in trouble either and u end up with half your star players in trouble like Bama too.

I agree. It's just frustrating to see law enforcement dropping charges on Bama's starters left and right. Let it be 2nd or 3rd string guys and they "make an example of them" by sending them packing.

if the dude did the number of felony robberies that he is accused of, then frick him. He can GTFO.

Now what troubles me, is that kids get dismissed from the team before they have due process of law. If he is convicted, yes. Kick him to the curb. However, before that, it is not fair to dismiss him.

Having said that, I think it is entirely appropriate to suspend him from the team and from his scholarship until the due process is done. If found innocent, his full benefits should be restored with equivalent back payment to cover lost ground.

Bugs me that Alabama players, and major university athletes in general get off the hook frequently. Not because I am jealous but because playing a game doesn't give you a free pass to live above the law. It happens at AU too and it is disgusting. Luckily, it isn't nearly as bad

Uhhh wtf yes it is. If Auburn has reasonable proof themselves which I'm sure they do because cameras are everywhere in the halls of those dorms then it is absolutely fair to dismiss him.

Why should the law be the ultimate decider? It should be a privilege to play for Auburn.
