Saying he single-handedly affected the outcome of the NC is ludicrous.
We gave up a frickin KO return for a TD.

Sure enough, Chris was on his knees, alone on the sideline, praying. A few minutes later, he was being mobbed in the endzone. Apparently, God was watching/listening and he must have been tired of Saban pretending to be Him.

Well he is a defender and the runner had broke into the secondary so there's a pretty decent chance he would be one of the guys in position to make the play. Plus all he did was escort a guy that was already going out of bounds out. If it had of been some amazing tackle or pass deflection etc... it would fit your narrative much better.
