Indeed. He was so pumped about this season.. I tried to pump his brakes on the rant this week but it wasn't working

Thanks for scaring me, mate. I saw my name and thought I was a goner. You bastard.
But, to your point, I'm down but not broken. I'll post a topic on tRant tomorrow after I re-watch the game. I'm not done being optimistic about this team though. We shut down WKU except for 3 busted coverages. They made us pay. Our offense was a billion times better. We just struggled in that mystical, uncharted land known as the red zone. The coaching was by and large solid, and the gameplan worked. The execution was just a bit lacking. Now, the team moves on to a real test against UGA.
To be clear, I'm not proud where this team is. I am not okay with losing this game. I'm mad. I am not depressed and feeling hopeless like I did after Temple last year though. I saw more positive than negative though, especially from those in charge. Most teams don't go from 2012 AU to 2013 AU. 2012 AU still had way more raw talent than 2014 Vandy. The recovery phase will be much longer and more difficult.

in short, franklin screwed vandy hard when he left

I was impressed Vandy kept it so close. I was thinking that this was gonna be a 2 score win for WKU. And yes, as good as Franklin was for Vandy, he single-handedly fricked them for 4 full years.

lets be honest, 2012 Auburn had more raw talent than the 2015 Vanderbilt team as well.

Well, the 2012 Auburn team had NC-caliber talent, but poor coaching.
