It has been our redzone solution in the past. I don't think you are ever going to see a TE be a top receptions guy in our offense but whenever Gus seems to have a solid one (Lutz/Uzomah) he finds ways to get them the ball in the redzone. Interested to see what we do with Landon Rice

Yes, he is a true freshman that is 6'4 255 that is being redshirted because our coaching staff likes to lose football games.

It's not like we have a healthy qb to give it to him

Yes. We call it an H-back. He is the one out there missing blocks on every damn play.

Nope. Which is a flaw with this offense. Gus does not attack the middle of the field. Which is where the game is played on the next level.

this is what makes me lose my shite watching Auburn football with Gus at the helm. Its either a run up the middle, jet sweep or some dink and dunk pass.

Gone are the days of the hitch and go or seam route. I dont gaf if JJ or Sean cant throw worth a damn, you still call the play because its the right play to call.

It will be interesting to see what he does w/ Rice. Harris has some athletic ability as well, but Rice is a Football Player.

their responsibilities include blocking, pulling, and running the throw back passing route. Thats it, or at least that is all i have ever seen

Watching Iowa vs Purdue. Iowa utilizes their TEs very well.

ETA: 2 TDs for Iowa to 2 different TEs.

Well they run a very conservative pro style offense. They've always put out great TEs under Ferentz. Dallas Clark, Scott Chandler, Brandon Meyers, Tony Moeki, CJ Fiedorowitz.

They're probably more stacked at TE than Arky. Their top 3 should all play in the NFL and Kreiger-Coble looks like a future all-pro.

We have Chris Laye and a true freshman that was playing at a private school last year

No, but it's a huge jump in competition from being a 6'5" 230 pound black man amongst tiny little coddled rich white boys going to the SEC. It takes time to adjust for most guys.
