A 4 year starter in the SEC.
Was he just not big enough?

Not big enough, unfounded rumors, short arms, small hands.

Good leader with weak measurables and lost several head to head battles with elite talent.

FWIW BMatt said this
quote:

From a scouting standpoint, there are concerns about his short arms and power at point of attack. Fits best in a zone scheme.

According to tRant it's because Thayer Evans said Reuben Foster said he'd racist.

NFL scouts overvalue arm length in OL.
He struggled against the most elite talent he was matched up against.
Center is one of th least draftable positions.

I can't decide if they actually believe this or are simply trolling.

He was always projected after pro day/comvine stuff to be a latter round guy. Didn't have elite measurable

I'd imagine off the field concerns, real or imagined, slid him to UDFA

JMO but I don't think so. He's been a model guy since the Chiz circus left town.

If somebody said that in real life Id think they were just messing with you, but I think the vast majority of your tRant regulars spend so much time on this website that they actually believe the shite they spew about Auburn. A lot of them actually believe we are a dirty program that pays all our players who are all thug criminals. You just have to remember that tRant represents the extremists of SEC football fans.

I agree, I don't think his slide had anything to do with off field issues. It is all to do with measurables and ability.

The fact some of you would even entertain what the rant says and bring it here is embarrassing.

I imagine he got it from one of the NFL people like Kiper, MvShay, or Mayock.

I don't think it made him untouchable. Obviously because a team grabbed him. When it comes to RD7 question marks can be the difference

Sometimes good football players are overlooked in favor of guys that have better measurables... Sometimes the simplest of issues turn a team off of a player.

I just think it's crazy that Angelo Blackson went as early as he did, in the 4th round, and ahead of Gabe Wright. He was, what, our 3rd best interior defensive lineman last year at best? Gabe Wright and Monty Adams were both better.

I've always thought Blackson was our best dlinemen. I couldn't ever figur out why he never had a breakout season. He's ridiculously athletic for his size, strong, and long arms. My guess is he has a productive career in the league.

I think the "Rhino Package" project hurt game and Monty last yer

Highly unlikely here. Especially when you compare it to guys who have had much worse off the field issues over the years & still often times are drafted where projected. His lack of production versus top teir DTs & his measureables are much more valid an answer for him not being drafted.

As soon as I read "Thayer Evans" I knew it was bullshite. You could substitute Pete Thamel or Selena Roberts. All scumbag shitheads who should DIAF. Twice.
