speculation on my part, but I've read he may be linked to Oregon. Now there's an opening... His flash would fit in well there, IMO.

They were talking about hiring him as Co-OC when they snagged Cristobal instead.

DC is like these guys out of college st my office. They don't really want to grind and learn the business. They want the corner office and company car without the knowledge.

I like DC. I hope this is true. As been stated before, I don't want us to have to recruit against him.

And that's fine, but I should have said another SEC school. He might recruit Mobile, but I'd rather that talent not end up at LSU, Bama, etc.

For me, DC was like that spring break fling back in college that was awesome but, you know, it's probably best we don't see each other ever again.

Neither Craig's tenure here nor the breakup warrants the above statement.

Yeah, i don't get the hate for him either. He left a nice job at FSU to come to us and then made a business decision to try his hand at LSU. That decision turned out to bite him a bit but he will land on his feet somewhere. I hope he doesn't end up at Alabama but I will certainly wish him well at Oregon and I hope he can make some waves and move up the ladder there.

Yeah, I must be missing something. He never embarrassed Auburn while he was employed here. He didn't bash his time here or his former employer. His tenure here was more positive than not.

So why does "he's a helluva recruiter but an average WR coach" = "he's dead to me"
Maybe the clueless Pavoloco dude can fill me in...

Yeah, I'm not understanding the DC hate either.

Most on here had Gustav in the dead man walking category prior to last year, so it's not like him jumping ship was a bitch move, even to go to a division rival. I mean, yeah, that kinda sucks since he's an alum, but it wasn't as much of a slap in the face as, say, James Willis spurning a chance to stay in '09 and going to work for Saban.

From what I've heard, he left because he felt his voice wasn't being heard or respected...not because the ship was sinking. DC knows he is getting older and probably felt that he could find more credibility for job advancement elsewhere because he would never get it here. Like I said, cannot blame him if that's the case. Sometimes it takes a fresh start and the chance to make a new first impression.

The only thing I hate DC was when he stole Famous Jamais from us and he ended up at FSU.
