I think Vick would put up better numbers but he wouldn't be as effective. Marshall made some incredible plays escaping in the pocket using strength that Vick never had (wrapped up and stood ground/broke out)
Marshall also was absolutely unreal good at 3rd down scramble quarterbacking. His Madden accuracy rating went up 25 points if on 3rd down he was running off balance throwing across his body. I never understood that

on TV you couldn't see what Marshall was looking at but the moment it left his hands you knew it would be a catch. That was nice.
I hope he goes early. he deserves it.

Why do you say this?
The only thing Mike Vick had going better than Marshall was world class speed.
And a defense on the other side of the ball that could actually stop somebody.

Vick had better speed, more accurate and was more elusive. Arm strength equal and strength was in Marshall favor.

Yeah, well did Vick ever complete a pass to himself?

Are some of you serious? Vick was a better athlete and a better QB to boot.
He WAS more accurate. Don't give me the collegiate statistics as some sort of "proof" otherwise. Vick was taking snaps from under center and didn't have the benefit of playing in an offense which is as schematically difficult to defend as ours. I'm not even sure that Marshall is "stronger"; they are around the same size and Vick broke tons of tackles in college. He was a nightmare to try and tackle, even when you got a hand on him.
The simplest way to describe it is that Vick and Marshall's two biggest strengths were identical; with Vick being superior in both. Vick was faster/a more elusive runner, and he also threw a better deep-ball. The arm strength is close, but Vick showed much better touch and an understanding of how to lead his receivers. Marshall lacked the feel for passing, which is why he's not going #1 overall like Vick did, or playing QB in the NFL period.
Vick was literally a superior version of Marshall with a better feel for passing. Vick in our offense would have been absolutely frightening; and this isn't some sort of "knock" on Marshall. Few can compare to Vick's electrifying athleticism.

11-1 in both his seasons as a starter.

can you show us where... your mom touched Nick Marshall?
We can start the healing process.
