Besides Rhett, what other changes will be made?

Maybe at defensive line. Tim Horton is actively searching for a HC position so possibly at RB too

I would be fine with all of this. I just want Muschamp to stay.

We have a decent DL class coming in. I say let's not send Garner away.

I've never seen the defensive line at Auburn be so bad before like it has the past two seasons. It's shameful. I say move Garner to an off the field position where he can still help recruit, but he has no business coaching defensive line.

I don't know that any changes will be made, outside of someone taking a better job. People keep assuming Rhett and Garner are sacrificial lambs, but I think both will be back.

Horton seems the most likely to go.

Why would you want to get rid of any of them? Loosing them often hurts you more than it helps you in situations like we currently find ourselves in.

If we are 6-6 next year changes will be needed, but for now you got to realize we struggled with injuries greater than norm, poor-average QB play, and I suspect our WR's led the nation in drops.

this is my thinking...

if we make changes, what coach is going to want to come to Auburn knowing that gus and the majority of the other coaches have 1 year left?

he essentially has a 1 year contract. no coach will want that.

Doesn't change the fact that play calling was piss poor all year long. I feel like I'm beating a dead horse by saying this but I'll say it again - if the running game is working and you're keeping the defense honest, there is absolutely no need to get cute with play calling. Jovon had a great first half but then was pulled completely in the second half. Then we had that bullshite playcall on 3rd and 2. Maybe it's time for Gus to let his ego go and hire an OC who isn't just going to be a yes man but will actually add new wrinkles to this offense and offer new perspectives. This team deserved a lot better, but play calling and decision making cost us a lot of games this season.

I know you don't understand this, but the plays are often called based on the defense and the percentages applied based on how many men in the box, deep safeties, etc...

So if something works on one play, run it again right? No, you still have to look at the defense again and see what change they might have made to prevent what you already did.

I have no idea what is going on between Gus and company but I do know the D bama ran in the second half was more difficult to run against but we don't have a QB to take advantage of what they gave us.

This is pretty simple - if something is working, MAKE them stop it. No need to patronize me. Play calling has been an issue all season long, even Stevie Wonder could see that.

probably because he is the QB coach and OC/play caller and both positions were total fail. seems like its pretty obvious to me.
