4 cities in your post, Boss. Charlotte to play Duke. How anyone could want us playing in Bham at the old grey turd is beyond me

Yeah forget the obvious convenience of location. How could anyone want to play in a bowl game in a city that's only 2 hours north of campus

there will be multiple 5-7 teams making bowl games

Is this allowed? I thought 6 wins was firm and non negotiable. Admittedly, I haven't followed bowl team's records. I just always understood 6 wins is a must.

It typically is, 6 wins and .500 or better. The NCAA can allow waivers in certain circumstances. I remember a few years ago Georgia Tech got one because they were 6-6 going into the AC Championship game and a loss would have made them 6-7.

Also, there are 40 bowl games for FBS teams this year, so you have to have 80 teams to fill the slots. If there aren't 80 teams with 6+ wins, waivers will have to be given to fill the spots.

Yeah. I'd hate for Auburn to play a game in my home town. That'd be awful.

I might go to the Belk. Definitely wouldn't go to the others (save some amazing matchup luck).

But opponent is the only thing I care much about, and that means Houston.

Interestingly enough, the SBNation article fails to mention Auburn as a potential 5-7 bowl team.

With a football APR of 950, we should be right next to East Carolina in the chart, but we're not there.
