There is a lot of doo doo going on with Golloway right now that might make the decision easy for everyone.

Golloway may be a prick and may or may not deserve to be fired, but it seems to me that "talking to people at OU" would have been pretty futile.
Unless you mean "talking to 'people' for rumors and dirt" which would have been pretty unprofessional IMO.

And Jay Jacobs would be the first to tell you it's not about how he's perceived but how AU baseball is perceived. If Golloway deserves to go then he will go at the hand of Jacobs. Nobody with a brain would blame Jacobs for giving him a shot.
