I would think he would play if possible. Draft rank aint gonna go up for a player with unknown capabilities for sitting out. I would play to go for a higher draft spot and to prove I could stay healthy longer than 2 qtrs.

I'm saying it's not by his choice. His injury will dictate it. Rumor around Auburn is that cracked hip is in awful condition

Wow, I hate that for him. He lost all of last season and only got to play, what 15 minutes this season?

We may just have to face an unfortunate reality that Lawson won't be the player he was for 15 minutes against UL
Even if he does come back, hip issues aren't easy to overcome by most accounts and he may lose mobility/flexibility necessary to be an elite DE

Was he considered injury prone in high school? If not, I'm not sure two serious but unrelated injuries put him in the Jake Locker column.
He may be made of Styrofoam but ACLs happen all the time and I didn't see the hit that caused the hip injury.
